Observation details
#18 1846 RTHA Adult on the Manhattan side of the Harlem River heading towards Randall’s Island. I watched it glide to a landing on the southern Manhattan Psychiatric Center building onto a nest two stories below the roof on the westernmost facade. At 1851 it lifted and headed upriver then directly back to the nest. • At 1852 it headed upriver in a shallow dive and I lost it in the trees along the river towards the north side of the walking path on Randall's Island. • By 1858 I spotted a light brown object in the nest with an adult circling above the Manhattan Psychiatric Center. This object appeared to be new and prominent. Possibly blown up or in by the high winds. • By 1910 it was circling over the Randall’s Island side then headed across the river to the Manhattan side and through the apartment buildings south of the park then uptown along the west side of the park and I lost it in the trees low over the west side of the park.
