A Peruvian Plantcutter sings spontaneously from atop shrubby acacia/thornscrub on sandy soil along the road W from Mocupe toward Laguna—where there were quite a few singing this morning, including one in the background. Background also includes: West Peruvian Dove, Long-tailed Mockingbird, Tumbes Tyrannulet. Digitized from original tape recording on a Sony TCM5000, with a Mineroff booster & a Sennheiser series mic with foam windscreen.
Observation details
much singing to mid-morning; common, conspicuous; a Grebe lifer!
