Observation details
Black and white warbler with decurved thin bill. White tertial stripe connects to white wing bar. Black chevron spots on white undertail. Black throat coming in and bold black stripes on flanks indicates male. Not sure if this is continuing bird last seen on 1/31/2024 at Lucy's warbler (LUWA) location. Comparison of undertail coverts spots with those from photo of 1/31 bird indicates a different alignment of spots. However, the photo was from 40 days ago and molt/wear might change the appearance. This location is 0.25 mi from the LUWA spot, as the warbler flies. I have been monitoring this Nashville warbler site over the winter and it is the first time observing this bird. So it is not clear if this is a continuing or different bird.
