Observation details
Continuing pair consistently calling all morning, giving "squee-ah" and chuck calls. Despite consistently calling, the birds were not visible until 10:41, when the male was spotted near the bridge. This bird was viewed until 10:44 as it worked it's way east along the road. The female was briefly seen at 10:50 along the road. At 10:59 the male was refound further east at a favorite hackberry spot. We watched this bird until 11:03, at which point it flew back towards the creek. Both quetzals later came back to this hackberry spot after we left and were seen for over an hour.
