Observation details
Flushed out near marsh and headed away to land in grass. Long wings with Buffy patches on dorsal surface near tips. Tips were somewhat rounded wing was wider than northern Harrier. Body was rounder than northern Harrier. To Al begin to hunt when the rain stopped. Have an audio. At least 10 barks can be heard in the 30-second audio clip. Also singing were Red-winged Blackbirds and Eastern Meadowlarks. The Short-eared Owl barks can be heard at five, six, eight, nine, 11, 19, 20, 24, 28, 30 seconds
