Observation details
Likely an undercount as a large flock (30-40 individuals) of small sparrows flew onto private land before I could be sure of identification. This is a key area for wintering Brewer's Sparrows -- small, rather nondescript sparrows, plain below, noticeable white eye ring, grayish cheek outlined in darker gray providing a little face pattern, pink bill. A few were singing this species buzzy, trilly song.
