Observation details
MASSIVE flock of frigatebirds originally found and reported by Steve Liffmann around 1713, reported originally as "100's". An additional post by Liffmann an hour later indicated a marked increase in numbers, thought to be near 1,000. I joined Liffmann at his residence in Algiers and together we recorded footage and obtained still images of roughly 800 individuals along the Mississippi River. There were continuous waifs of frigatebirds moving along the river for at LEAST 1/3 of a mile. Individuals were estimated by counting by 10's.
