Observation details

Largely WAVI-like but with strong green wash to the remiges and back/rump, contrasting blue cap with a faint blackish border along the supercilium, relatively heavy bill and large size in hand. The greyish eye line, large size, and overall duller greyish colouration with a lack of yellow tones to the underside (which seems to be fairly consistent in examples of presumed REVI x PHVI) seem to suggest WAVI influence vs. PHVI. No p10, which could reasonably be expected in any combination of the three species (p10 is absent or highly reduced in REVI, PHVI, and reduced with variable length in WAVI). Standard measurements should be on file with DMBO but we did not possess permits for feather collection.
