Observation details
The bird was seen foraging in and around an elderberry tree off the path and crossed the road Into the dormant sumac plants on the other side. Towhee with a gray body, bright rufous red cap, white throat, and greenish tint to the wings back and tail. No camera, but I got some photos of the bird behind some elderberry tree leaves showing the red cap, dark bill and white throat via cell phone. Also, got some audio recordings.
