Observation details
Stopped at the location where I heard red crossbills earlier. I was quite surprised to hear Bohemian Waxwings. A large group in a tall tree where the farm's driveway (private property) meets Austin Hill Rd. The flock intermittently flew down to shrubs along the road for berries. On the way back from my errand I saw the flock flying west across the large field that's across from the driveway. Quite a stroke of good luck to get two species I rarely see on my visits to VT at the same location on the same day.
