Observation details
I went out front to hopefully see/hear the COPO[s?] that had arrived here this past week. I saw my first bird @ 6:25 PM, as it landed on the roof multiple times, sallying forth upwards multiple times in what appeared to be invert hunting; during this time, the bird was repeatedly making the call with a quick series of multiple notes. After ~ 10 mins, what appeared to be a second bird arrived from a different direction, and made the same quick series of multiple notes calls. ~ 5 mins after this a possible 3rd COPO may have arrived, but being unsure of this, I didn't officially count it. I eventually saw 10 COPO flights at the house. Soon after this I played a recording of the COPO song and had 1-2 birds respond. I got a recording of the birds but the recording needs editing as sections1:06-1:10, 1:23-1:24 and 1:34-1:48 are mistaken recordings of playback that need to be removed; ~ 2 mins & 30 secs of this recording are of the house's COPOs from this night]. Having had COPO's calling from our roof and being seen in and around the property in early Spring has been a seasonal event that's gone on for a good number of years, even though this year's arrival appears to be much earlier than previous typical arrival date pds.
