Observation details
It was extremely impressive to see the Bluewings literally swarming all over a blackberry bush; I had no idea they were into berries, but it turns out they absolutely love them!! At any one time, I could see six or seven in a single field of view, clambering and beetling about, their wings occasionally fluttering as they scrabbled for purchase!! What's more, they were alert but overall a lot more content than usual with a close approach, which absolutely made for my best ever Bluewing photoshoot!!
