Media notes
Richard's Pipit - the bird was of a size similar to a Starling. It was panting heavily and I can only presume it had been chased by a Raptor as there were many flying around on that particular afternoon. Initially, I did not know what species the bird was - hence sharing my shots with a number of the local birders. From there - I was advised to submit it to the JLRC for further scrutiny
Observation details
Details of this sighting were submitted to the JLRC on the 15th April 2022. It was later confirmed by the IoW Bird Recorder - R. Attrill that the bird had been accepted as a Richard's Pipit.
