Flycatching behavior.
Observation details
Exact count. Active, flycatching, vocalizing on this sunny day. I would say that at least 15 of the 25 Lewis's we counted on the hike up were different birds than on this list on the way down, being much further to the northeast on a different trail behind ridges ... So it's safe to say that we had at least 45 Lewis's Woodpeckers on this loop hike as a whole today, plus 2-3 more down at the trailhead. The video shows an example of the flycatching behavior.
