Observation details
It was feeding on ground with American Goldfinches under a sunflower feeder. I was sitting by my computer looking out and was easily able to identify it while online at Cornell. Since it was with American Goldfinches, I used Cornell's similar species and found the Lesser Goldfinch. Cornell's pictures matched what I was seeing. I, nor my friends have ever seen one of these little guys before which is what prompted me to "try" to report it. I was able to watch it for about 20 minutes as it fed, panicked and came back along with the American Goldfinches, but I haven't seen it since. I also am pretty sure I briefly saw a Lesser female mixed in with the American Goldfinches as it was more yellow than they were but it didn't stay long enough to get a picture or a positive ID.
