Observation details
First-cycle that spontaneously appeared with gull flock on sand spit just off southwestern-most parking lot around 1535 (was not present upon arrival at 1520 and did not see what direction it came in from). After the gulls flushed it moved further south out to the low tide mudflats. Large, nearly all white gull with dark eyes; bright pink-based bill with clean-cut black tip; small, light brown markings on upperparts; clean white primaries and tail; and bright pink legs. Had to leave the location at 1545, and bird was no longer present when others arrived around 1610. Phone-scoped photos.
