Observation details
Smaller than the mallards but larger than the Green-winged Teal. Looks both leucistic and like a hybrid of some sort. The stripes on the face reminded me of a female Ruddy Duck, but Ruddy Duck only has one. The speculum was gray. The bill looks like a female mallard's but was stubbier. It dabbled and picked stuff from the surface like a Bonaparte's Gull. Definitely a nice-looking bird!
