-3 dB normalization; 250 Hz high-pass filter with 6 dB roll-off. A few calls given from birds that had just taken flight. Most audible calls at approximately 0:12, 0:15, 0:17, and 0:20.
Observation details
[Kellen: It started with one bird roosting in a tree towards the Hadley Gardens, which was super weird for this neighborhood setting, but then that bird led us to a few more in the adjacent trees. Before we knew it, some 50-60 Black-crowned Night Herons were flying all over the place, calling a lot. Most of the birds did re-settle in the trees of the area. We did later find a creek running through the neighborhood, which might partially help to explain their numbers here.]
