Observation details
*Rare in county. Male in cattails at southern end of lake, heard and seen from kayak. Likely same individual first reported a week ago by Michael Huffaker. First detected by "erk!" call, likely in response to imitation, then seen well moving through cattails and eventually out to close edge. Gave brief song and several more calls.
