Observation details
Another one of the anticipated specialties we almost missed. David took up a bit up black mountain through all the lowland areas where he knew the bird to be quite common. Missed on way up and on way pack we started to get a bit worried as we hadnt seen anything promissing. Finally FAR out in the distance i spotted some black dots. We pulled over and could tell they were ibis foraging but soooo far. We dorve a bit closer and eventually had distant shots and views confirming a bit of white on head, but still distant. Suddenly flock picked up and counted at least 28 in flock flying. They circlied once getting a bit closer before flying disstantly away back from where we came with no sign of landing
