Observation details
Seen well in scope first, washed out scapulars and nearly all-white tail with only limited red edging at terminal recs, grayish white head, didn’t appear to have bellyband but it was eating something in the field and had its back to me in heat shimmer most of the time I watched it; tail seemed to be without black and gray mottling seen in harlani, which would be only other bird this washed out and pale overall, distant photos through heat shimmer, washed out tail with little red is seen to the left of the bird in photos. Tried to get closer but it must have flown when I wasn’t paying attention
