Observation details
*Flagged as high count. Various Savannah Sparrows located with some Song Sparrows near the outflow of the pond at the end of the point. Originally thought some were dark enough to be the standard Savannah but upon further review of the photos, the stomach streaking appears to have enough of that pink color to be Ipswich, which is the defining field mark. All foraging on the inland-side beach or in the sand dunes, not in bushes, shrubs or the cedars unless flushed to them. Comfortable with a minimum of 6, but likely closer to 8 or 10.
