Media notes
"Rattle" call including introductory nasal note, which, according to Pieplow is believed to be given by females, often in response to and overlapping male song, which fits this recording well. There are two birds singing as well. The subject bird did not appear to be agitated in any way. It was perched more or less in the open and there was lots of other activity around, with White-throated Sparrows and Golden-crowned Kinglets foraging close by.
