Observation details
A real surprise, the bird came flying out of the Squantum Club parking lot toward the bike path calling, then flew to the edge of the woods by the back of the parking lot where I watched it excavating a hole for about 15 minutes. Possibly the same bird reported in this area a few months ago by Sheila Smith, but today was the first encounter I’ve had with this species in this area.
