Photos - watching me from a tree. Beautiful. I had stopped and twice heard a low series of clicking or tapping sounds, and I was looking around for a downy or smaller bird. I first saw the silhouette above me, and in the shadow, it looked like a fake plastic owl, but why would someone place that here in the woods, LOL?. It stared at me with a few slow blinks, and as I moved to leave, it flew off soundlessly. Unfortunately, the beautiful big round eyes and their color don't show up in my cell phone photos.
