Observation details
Male & female. Fairly large, diving duck, larger than Greater Scaup. White body with black tail and breast, long tapered, black bill, sloped forehead and brick red head and neck. Female similar but grayish body and more brown head and neck. Resting most of the time I observed with head tucked, but did raise it up briefly for good scope views. Poor digiscoped photos.
