Observation details
This bird was eating suet at a feeder. According to the feeder’s owner, it has been hanging around for a week. It has a sharp Oriole bill, an orange breast and head, black wings with a large white wing patch, a black head and a black eye streak. The feeder’s owner made the photo below and sent it to me; I am submitting this observation for him, with his address as the location. The only Oriole in Sibley’s guide which matches these features is a Bullock’s Oriole. I am aware it is an unusual bird here, especially in January.
