Observation details
With other swifts feeding overhead, noticed in field as a non-Short-tailed Chaetura with an unusually striking rump patch and photographed for later ID. In photos appears distinctly longer-winged than Gray-rumped Swift, with pale throat patch and dark underbelly, lacking capped appearance of Gray-rumped Swift. Wing structure also maybe suggestive with slight inner primary bulge that Gray-rumped Swift doesn't typically present? We are open to feedback on this tricky ID!
