Observation details
We called a bunch of people and drove to the boathouse where we could see the bird fairly close in. Our pictures didn't really come out but I think I got decent video. When the bird flapped its wings, we could see that the underwing coverts were white, eliminating the possiblity of a Pigeon Guillemot. The back of the neck was dusky and the crown was a little bit darker than the nape. Thanks to Paul Hurtado for originally finding this bird, and to Carol Schmitt for keeping the hope of refinding it alive!! I hope that others will be able to relocate the Guillemot tomorrow, and that it will stick around for a while.
