Observation details
First seen at 17:32. Flying high, 100-200m in altitude, over the whole valley. I’m not accustomed to seeing SEOWs fly so high. Heard barking, as well. Short tails. Stocky body and large faces. Mostly seen in silhouette, but I did manage to see the dark commas at the base of the primaries when they flew directly over head. They circled around for a few minutes before disappearing to the northwest. Floaty flight with flappy broad wings held in an even plane during brief glides. No vulturine dihedral and lateral rocking like a NOHA often shows.
