Observation details
Seen well and photographed well. Bird lacks the white trailing edge vs common snipe which is a clear Id pointer. The pintail snipe has a distinct call when accidentally flushed from the reeds. They appear to be more shy and would take long flights lasting for almost 60-90 seconds as they go around in circles before they land back. The common snipes on the other hand just take off and land near by and are much bolder. Birds were in the same area along with common snipes.
