Observation details
I immediately noticed that this bird I saw with the Hulls Cove mallards, had a obvious dark cheek line and obvious white under the throat. The upper chest was a warm reddish brown. The two lines on the face stood out, with the dark crown, and at one point, I saw what appeared to be a "wingbar", in the last photo. Lores are dark following through as an eyeline. The white supercilium is clearly visible. Louis Bevier suggests "almost like Pacific Black Duck influence, shows up in Mallard not infrequently."
