Leaping into the water (from floating), repeatedly, pulling up grasses. Gallinule shaped (curved neck and head like a question mark when looking in water), dark bodies, black heads, white bills, slightly smaller than Mallards. One diving with a female American Wigeon that would try to take whatever it was surfacing with. Two on the right, diving together. One swimming with four mallards for a while. Female or pair of Wigeons trying to poach from or swimming next to each one of them almost constantly - about one foot away from each other.
