Observation details
This Dickcissel in first winter plumage has been present for seven weeks after being discovered on 19 November 2023. It was in the tangle down centre of west parking lot near dog park, then it flew with House Sparrows to well-stocked feeders where it fed on the ground. Large pink bill. Yellowish wash across lightly streaked breast and sides, and yellow in supercilium and malar area. Median wing coverts edged in bright rusty-chestnut.
