Observation details
am a bit surprised that eBird considers WIWR rare here at this time of year, as it is regular (scarce, but regular) in the southern Finger Lakes area, and there seem to be quite a few recent local reports, but there it is. in the cattail marsh across from the driveway and mailbox labeled 59 Glebe Road; this habitat is a little more surprising to me, but perhaps is not too different from where I see them in some winters along Pleasant Grove Brook. tiny, totally cute, rich brown wren, bobbing up and down, with very short, cocked tail and sharp chips, often rapidly repeated in bursts of two-four notes.
