Observation details
Tall, thin, long legged grey birds with bustles and red crowns. Foraging on corn stubble on the north side of Brooklyn Street just west of Steadman Road. At about 3:45 p.m. they took flight, flying with necks extended in the direction of the Cornwallis River and the bird sanctuary area. Reported earlier and seen by many. Bernard Forsythe and Pauline Meldrum were watching them when I arrived, soon followed by Anne Tracey.
