Observation details
Actual number of birds was most likely higher than 19, but that was the most I saw for certain at one time. Large finch, nearly robin sized. Most were females/immatures. Overall gray with white wing bars. Some showed yellow on the cheeks and top of the head. Short, thick bill. Slightly forked tail. Males were a brilliant rose color on the heads and breast. I have some poor digiscoped photos that I will try to edit and upload when I get a chance.
