Observation details
Whilst watching Double-barred Finches feed in the grass a Gallinago sp. Snipe flew overhead and landed approximately 150 m away. It foraged quickly and ran about 50 m down in to a ditch where I lost sight of it. After investigating where last seen it was seen flying overhead and landed in the Pindan. An attempt to relocate it was unsuccessful. Unfortunately not enough plumage detail could be observed and no call was heard to give in indication of Swinhoes vs Pin-tailed. A poor video recording through the binoculars was obtained.
