Observation details
Continuing. There were 2 medium-sized waterfowl swimming and diving far north of the point -- too distant for us to ID with binoculars. However, Mike Myers' photo shows that at least one of them appears to be a Red-necked Grebe.-- based on the white cheek, the pattern of shading on the neck, and the long, thin bill. It was much too large to be a HOGR. I'll attach the blown-up photo, which if fuzzy because of the distance. .
