Observation details
Black dorsal and white ventral, horizontal floating, stumpy neck and size make this bird a large alcid. Neck/head shading indicate a transitioning common Murre or Razorbill. Blurriness make it hard to tell bill shape, but it appears to be a combination of too long and thin to be a razorbill, and the eye-line neck line shape and color seem to potentially fit Common Murre.
