Observation details
*High. Impressive count, especially in context, and a spectacle to behold. First heard their signature grovelly call, then seen as a few took off from the Greer Gulch side of the park and flew towards the upper visitor center (roughly). As I watched the initial birds fly, I realized a massive group was forming behind them. Within moments, a flock of Nutcrackers had formed, and as they streamed to a new pocket of forest, I counted in amazement. 56 was my exact count, but I may have missed a few.
