Observation details
Closer to Eagle Scout deck earlier in the day, but visible at 33.80630° N, 106.88271° W north of the Flight Deck along the edge of the wetland. Distant (close to eastern edge of wetland), but a few views of its face. Large white bird (monstrous compared to nearby northern shovelers), mostly resting with head tucked. Did not see pink saddle on bill or yellow tear drop - all dark bill. Forehead where bill dips down is more angular (less rounded) and eye is more enveloped in black than expected for tundra swan.
