Observation details
🔴 *******Mega, first for NYSOA Region 4 found 12/7 by Troy Parla. Immature/first year bird feeding exclusively in cedar stand west of lighthouse (44.6973927, -75.5038720). Working back and forth that row of cedars and feeding in all sections, top to bottom. When we arrived, several observers were on the bird as it was foraging at ground level in a cedar. Regularly calling, usually in bursts of 2 or 3 chips. Overall gray and white with soft yellow lores. Dark gray extending from bill through auricular and over crown down through mantle, leaving a small white blur of a supercilium. Clean white throat and breast with streaking on the flanks.
