Observation details
*very, very late; eBird shows only ~4 MA records for Dec-Jan. In mixed flock with dunlin and BBPL by parking lot—seen on our way back after the receding tide exposed the rocky beach. Body shape less “grapefruit” than LBDO and posture relatively flat-backed while feeding. Stocky, medium-sized sandpiper with yellow-green legs, white upper-rump in flight.
