Observation details
At stakeout point. Hopped along shrubby tree line bordering yard and yard shrubs, foraging at least a few berries (one poorly pictured). It flicked its tail periodically while foraging, keeping generally low to the ground or in bushes. There's a small brick wall which was a good center point of activity. It tended to linger in the obvious rhododendron by the brick wall as well. I did not hear the bluetail vocalize during this checklist effort. Location notes: one resident seemed particularly irritated by the birders. She told everyone to make sure they did not park in the neighborhood and circled the block multiple times while I was there, keeping an eye on everything. All the birders while I was there seemed courteous and I didn't see any unethical behavior. Remember to stay respectful if you're reading this and thinking about going to see it!
