Observation details
*Rare, and somewhat unexpected at this location, but coming for some time now. After a long wait, visited red flowers several times, seemingly once the sun went away and it cooled down somewhat, and then showed up periodically after that at rather long intervals. At one point, two males were visible at one place, one with more pollen on the forehead. Actively foraging and aggressive against nearby metaltails. Photos and video.
