Observation details
All three along Cowpen Bayou. Sometimes 3 visible from same place, but mostly viewed from separate spots along refuge loop where it follows bayou. Could have been 4 total, but I went back and forth along this 1-mile section of bayou two or three times over the course of maybe and hour to try and shore up numbers, and could only be certain of 3. Birds sometimes flying, sometimes at least one of them called (the first time I've heard the species call in person), mostly foraging in shallows, or standing around in sparse weeds or on mud on west bank exposed to sun coming from across bayou (catching some sun on this chilly morning?). Same stretch of bayou as the two 11/30 birds and two of the three 11/22 birds. Photo of each bird.
