Observation details
2nd state record. Photos. Continuing along the north edge of buttonbush Marsh at 41.838904, -86.624823 and 41.838808, -86.624571. Park at 41.841002, -86.624649 and walk south along trail for 0.15 to 0.20 miles until lowland buttonbush swamp appears on your left (south). There is a sitting bench at this location. From the bench walk directly to the buttonbush swamp. Search all along the north edge and east end of the buttonbush swamp, especially watching the sun drenched slope bordering the buttonbush swamp. Bird has been seen at the north central edge and the east end of the swamp. At times 2-5' high, and at times 50-60' high, actively flitting around and alternately perching for up to 1-2 minutes on select perches.
