Observation details
Found by Holly Merker. Both immature, gray upper-parts and white belly with pinkish bills, facial skin and legs. Bill long and decurved: proper Ibis headgear. Many observers. These were said to be the first White Ibises noted in Chester county in many years (decades?). I was walking to my car near sundown when the two birds flew. Per Al Guarente, they circled around a nearby pond a couple times before disappearing. They were evidently moving to a roost tree for the night, as they were spotted thefollowing day. We looked for a bit that night to see where they might've gone, but foliage was too thick to see much.
