Media notes
A Black-banded Owl starts calling outside our cabin at Sadiri Lodge at 8:30pm. This is amid primary foothill forest. It continues, and I recorded it at intervals until 9:09pm—combined into one series of cuts here. Background includes: Razor-billed Curassow, which continues through all cuts. In the second cut, it expands its call to a song, or else a second bird starts doing the full song, and the background includes: a Tawny-bellied Screech-Owl. In the 3rd cut, it continues. By the 4th cut, recorded from inside our cabin at 21h09m52s, the curassow had gone quiet, but the Tawny-bellied Screech-Owl continued , and a Rufescent Screech-Owl calls in the background. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
